Kane achieves his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has stated that his desire in returning to the Premier League has faded and he is prepared to discuss a new contract with Bayern Munich.
The prolific striker is at the moment two years through the four-year contract he agreed to when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the transfer window of 2023.
The veteran forward has scored an remarkable 103 goals in 106 games for the German team, contributing them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which marked the initial important achievement of his distinguished career.
Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has previously stated that he would like to see Kane come back to England, where he needs 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring record of 260.
However, the England skipper has now indicated that he is no longer as keen about going back home as he previously was, and would certainly think about extending his tenure in Bavaria.
"In terms of remaining longer, I could absolutely see that," he remarked.
"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be open to talk and have an straightforward conversation.
"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so progresses and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not focusing about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have realized in my career is that different chances and different timings happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."
Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the all-time top marksman for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the quickest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five leagues, attaining the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a title had avoided him until he secured the German title last season.
Kane admits that he was not sure how he would feel after breaking his trophy barren spell, but now thinks it has made him hungry for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.
"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.
"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
